Miguel's Sprinkler Repair

About Miguel's Sprinkler Repair

In this town the green is a negotiation with water, and Miguel's Sprinkler Repair works on the side of the lawn. The day starts in the first hour of light, when the back roads of Olivenhain are still under the marine layer and a cracked line gives itself away as a dark blush spreading across warm concrete. A head that geysered yesterday goes back to throwing a soft even arc; a valve stops weeping; a controller gets told what October actually needs instead of what June wanted. It is kneeling work — a coupling in one hand, wet decomposed granite up both forearms — and it is the whole reason a yard in Encinitas can look the way it does in the middle of a dry month. Shut the water down at the end, walk every zone once more, and leave a lawn that drinks exactly what it should.
