About Javier Garcia Gardening

West of the railroad tracks the cottage blocks of Encinitas hold small yards, deep hedges, and jasmine that gives itself away after dark. Javier Garcia Gardening keeps those gardens on a weekly round — cutting the grass, edging the walks, shaping hedges and shrubs, weeding, raking, and carrying the trimmings off. Small yards ask for hand work more than machinery, and the difference shows at the corners and along the fence lines. A hedge squared and a lawn taken low can make a narrow lot feel twice its size. The route runs the same streets all year, and the gardens on it look like it.
