Barrels & Branches

About Barrels & Branches

Leucadia keeps its old eucalyptus over Coast Highway 101, and the light that falls through them in the afternoon is dappled, shifting, never the same twice. Barrels & Branches tends the lawns and gardens under that canopy — cutting, feeding, shrub trimming, and clearing a leaf drop that never quite stops. Grass in this part of Encinitas has to share its ground with roots and shade, so the work stays patient and hands-on. The reward is a small green room, trimmed to its borders, cool underfoot on a warm day. It is the ordinary rounds, kept up all year, that make a garden look like someone loves it.
