About Martin Gardening

Around two each afternoon the west wind finds El Segundo, carrying the cold smell of the Pacific up the residential blocks off Main Street. Martin Gardening plans the day around it — planting and pruning in the still morning, raking and cleanup once the breeze starts moving leaves for us. This is a town of tidy porches and modest lawns, and we like keeping them that way: grass cut even, beds weeded, shrubs shaped by hand. The mild seasons blur into one long growing year, so there is always something asking for care. We give it, week after week, and the yards stay soft and green for it.
