About Ignacio El Handyman

Late in the year Valley Boulevard fills with the sound of leaves being moved — sweetgum, sycamore, whatever the wind dropped overnight — and every yard in El Monte seems to need a hand at once. That is the busiest end of this work, though the rest of the calendar keeps its own pace: mowing, edging, string trimming, hedge and shrub shaping, weeding, brush hauling, and the cleanups that turn a mess back into a property. Small jobs handled on time add up faster than big ones done once. The valley's climate keeps grass growing when most of the country has stopped, so the mower does not get much rest. A clean walk, a straight edge, a curb with nothing on it — that is what gets left behind.
