About Cate Landscaping

El Granada climbs its coastal terrace in gentle arcs, with Montara Mountain green at its back and the sound of surf off Pillar Point carrying up the streets on still afternoons. Cate Landscaping tends the gardens of that in-between place — not quite beach, not quite hillside, and growing like both. The salt air and mild coastside seasons keep everything in motion year-round, so the work never really pauses: lawns cut and edged, borders kept in their curves, shrubs pruned into shape before the wind can sculpt them its own way. Afternoons, when the light goes low and gold over the water, are when a well-composed yard here looks almost unreasonable. Building toward that light, one visit at a time, is the whole craft.
