About Jesus garden

Down where Cerrito Creek slips along the foot of Albany Hill, the first winter rains turn El Cerrito's gardens suddenly, almost impatiently green. Jesus garden tends that abundance by hand — weeding beds, pruning back what the rain pushed out too far, mowing lawns into calm. This is close, patient work done at the scale of a single yard: the rose freed from its tangle, the path swept, the soil turned where new plantings will go. In a town named for a little hill, most gardens are small and steep-cornered, and small gardens show every hour of care put into them. That is the kind of work this business likes best.
