Lawn service

About Lawn service

The gray comes inland overnight and sits on El Cajon until mid-morning, when the sun burns a hole in it and the whole valley goes bright at once. Lawn service is out ahead of that, mowing the flat blocks near Wells Park while the grass still holds its damp. Edging along the old sidewalks, trimming the strip between walk and curb, blowing the clippings clear — small acts, repeated, that make a street look cared for. By the time the overcast lifts, the lines are cut and the concrete is swept. It is plain work in a town that has never needed much fuss.
