About Genaro's Landscaping

Late in the afternoon the light comes in low from the west and El Capitan stands up above the Blossom Valley side, every ridge and gully drawn in shadow. Genaro's Landscaping is usually closing out a route about then — the last lawn cut, the borders trimmed, the walk blown down and the gate latched behind. The work runs to mowing, edging, hedge and shrub trimming, weed pulling and hauling the green waste out. Fertilizing and irrigation checks come around with the seasons, keeping turf fed and watered where the sun bears down hardest. A day's work reads best at that hour, when the long light catches a fresh cut and shows every line.
