About Landscape Design by Armstrong

Fletcher Hills climbs in tiers above the valley floor, and every terrace up there is a small argument between slope and lawn. Landscape Design by Armstrong works those pitched El Cajon yards the way a reader works a long paragraph — line by line, edge by edge, until the shape makes sense. In late May the jacarandas drop their purple over the curbs and the mowing lines come out clean underneath. Summer here runs long and dry, so the work stays patient: cutting back, clearing out, keeping green where green belongs. What's left at the end of a day is a yard that looks intended, right down to the last blade along the walk.
