Morning comes to Downey grey and soft, the marine layer sitting low over the rooftops until the sun works it loose somewhere around ten. Two Rose Lawn is out before that — mowing while the grass is still cool, edging a clean line along the walk so the whole yard reads sharp by the time the light turns gold.
