Joe's Gardening

About Joe's Gardening

Saturday mornings in Dixon belong to the ballfields — car doors, folding chairs, kids out on the outfield grass at Hall Park before the heat arrives. Joe's Gardening holds that same standard on residential blocks around town: even mowing, edges cut along the concrete, trimming close to posts and beds, and a cleanup that leaves nothing on the walk. Growth runs hard from March into June here, then slows through the dry months, so visits are timed to the grass rather than to the calendar. The pleasure of the job is small and repeatable — the moment the mower makes its last pass and a yard suddenly reads as finished. Dixon has plenty of those yards, and every one of them took someone showing up.
