Domingo Garcia's Landscaping keeps a hand on yards through that soft stretch of the year — cutting, edging, trimming what crowds a fence line, and clearing a lawn after a storm has had its say. The winter version of this work is unhurried and plain: wet boots, breath showing, a lawn left level. By February the daffodils are up along the old roads and the yards are ready to meet them. It is good to be the reason a place looks awake in the year's quietest month.
