A&J Tree Care

About A&J Tree Care

February turns the orchards around Denair white for a couple of weeks, and then the valley settles into the long business of growing things through heat and dust. This is farm country between the Tuolumne and the rail line, where a yard tree is planted for the shade it throws over a porch and a windbreak still means something. A&J Tree Care trims and thins those trees before the summer weight of leaf and limb finds the weak crotches, prunes for the shape a tree will hold for years, removes trunks that have gone brittle, and handles storm damage cleanup when a night wind comes through the rows. The satisfaction is simple and physical — a neat stack, a cleared yard, a canopy that will hold together all the way through August. Denair is small enough that the work speaks plainly for itself.
