Mitchel's Tree Service

About Mitchel's Tree Service

The marine layer owns the mornings out on the headlands, and by noon it has pulled back to leave the harbor bright and the bluffs sharp against the water. Salt wind shapes everything that grows above Doheny and along the Capistrano Beach streets, which is why a coastal tree wants a thoughtful hand rather than a heavy one. Mitchel's Tree Service trims for clearance and for the way sea air moves through a crown, prunes to keep older growth sound, takes down what has become unsafe to leave standing, and clears the wreckage after a dry offshore wind comes down the canyons in autumn. There is real pride in a finished cut — the crisp edge of a shaped crown standing against the ocean light. In Dana Point the yards sit close to the sea and close to each other, and the work shows.
