About Vigorous Design & Build

In Daly City the fog comes in off the ocean before the traffic does, spilling over San Bruno Mountain and settling into the long rows of Westlake until the afternoon finally burns it off. Vigorous Design & Build works in that grey hour, when the blades are heavy with damp and a mower has to be walked slow and straight to leave a line worth looking at. The work is lawn care in full — mowing, edging, string trimming, fertilizing, weed control, aeration and seasonal cleanups — kept to the rhythm of a coastal year that never quite freezes and never quite bakes. What they're after is small and exact: green ending in a crisp edge along the sidewalk, borders squared, every clipping gathered, a yard that plainly shows someone paid attention to it. From the ridge along Skyline down through Colma and out toward South San Francisco, that's the standard carried from one block to the next.
