Pinos Gardening

About Pinos Gardening

Monterey cypress lean inland all along this coast, bent by the same wind year after year, and the slopes below them carry their thick mats of ice plant. Pinos Gardening works the sheltered streets behind those trees, mowing Daly City lawns midweek, edging the walks, trimming the tight corners, clearing the cut grass away. Wind is the local variable: cut in the calm hours and the finish holds, cut late and half the clippings end up down the block. Knowing the town's hours is part of the trade. What gets left behind is simple and good — the yard low and uniform, the walkway swept, the border cut back to where it belongs.
