Hugo's Gardening Service

About Hugo's Gardening Service

By midday in July the shade on Denni Street has pulled back to a thin line under the trees, and the only sensible place to be is working the beds where it is still cool. Hugo's Gardening Service moves through Cypress yards that way — mowing early, then the slower gardening hours of pruning, weeding, turning mulch, and cutting back whatever has crowded a path. Every yard on this plain grows on the same warm, easy schedule, twelve months of something needing attention and no real dormancy to hide behind. The reward is a garden that keeps its shape all year instead of swinging between overgrown and shorn. Leaving a clean walkway and a mowed lawn behind is a small thing, and it is the point.
