Alejos lawn and grading

About Alejos lawn and grading

Winter in Crescent City arrives as rain — weeks of it, riding in off the Pacific and finding every low corner of a yard. Alejos lawn and grading begins with the ground itself: leveling the dips where water lingers, reshaping a side yard so it sheds a storm instead of holding one, then bringing the lawn along behind. It is patient work in a patient climate, where grass will grow most of the year if the soil beneath it drains right. By midsummer, when the skies finally dry, the yards they have graded are the ones still firm underfoot and evenly green. From the Elk Valley flats to the blocks in town, they treat good drainage as the quiet first chapter of every good lawn.
