Forest Lawn

About Forest Lawn

South of town the ground lifts into the Covina hills, and in the last hour before sundown the light lies flat and gold across open grass. Forest Lawn works those wide green expanses and the smaller ones too, mowing to an even height across long runs, edging every walk and border, trimming hedges and shrubs, and clearing away what falls. Grass that broad shows every mistake, so the passes are kept straight and the height kept honest. Irrigation is watched closely, because a dry patch on a big lawn announces itself from a long way off. What is left at the end of the day is calm unbroken green, and that kind of quiet has to be earned.
