Where the Santa Ana Canyon narrows toward the county line, wind funnels through the gap and rearranges whatever you have just tidied. Corona Landscaping works the Sierra del Oro hillsides anyway, and works them in order: mow, edge, string-trim the slope shoulders, then pull the drifted debris out of the beds and off the drive. Weeds get taken at the root instead of the top, so the next visit starts further ahead. Shrubs are cut back from the windows, because those houses paid for a view of the ridge. It is a small ongoing argument with the canyon, and it gets won every visit.
