Aeratorman

About Aeratorman

Concord soil remembers it was ranchland — heavy Diablo Valley clay that packs tight under a summer of foot traffic. Aeratorman works with that fact instead of against it, pulling cores so water, air and feed can finally reach the roots. The best weeks come after the winter rains have softened the ground, when a lawn off Clayton Road can be opened up and overseeded in the same morning. Follow the plugs with mowing at the right height and feeding on schedule, and by the time the hills go gold the turf is deep enough to hold its color. It is unglamorous work, and the result — thick grass, springy underfoot — is the entire point.
