About Rugged Edge landscaping LLC

July arrives in Citrus Heights all at once — heat standing over Old Auburn Road by nine, the blue oaks holding the only shade left on the block. Rugged Edge landscaping LLC starts ahead of it, while the turf is still cool enough to cut clean and the driveways still hold a little of the night. The work is mowing, edging, string trimming, weed control and a yard blown down to the last clipping, and the place you can see it best is the line where grass meets concrete: straight, sharp, no fringe left behind. There is a real satisfaction in a strip of lawn standing up green in front of a ranch house that has been baking since May. Fall brings the other half of the year — leaves off the valley oaks, beds cleared, the lawn thinned and fed before the rains come down out of the foothills. They keep close to home: Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Fair Oaks, Roseville, Antelope and Carmichael.
