About D&G Gardening

Two weeks after the February rain, the Otay River valley turns a green so sudden it looks borrowed, and every yard in the south of town wants cutting at once. D&G Gardening meets that rush the way gardeners do — mowing, hand-weeding the beds while the soil is still soft, cutting hedges back into shape, and hauling the season's growth away. Spring here is short and generous; by May the hillsides go tawny again and the lawns ask for a different kind of attention. Regular cuts, defined borders, tidy beds, and a yard that never gets away from the people who live in it. Gardening is mostly arriving at the right moment and then not leaving until the corners are done.
