Luis Gardening

About Luis Gardening

Behind the fences in Ceres there is a whole second town of backyards — tomato rows against the south wall, a citrus tree in a half-barrel, roses somebody's mother planted. Luis Gardening tends that kind of ground: beds weeded by hand, plants cut back and fed, the lawn mowed and edged so the whole thing sits together. Gardening rewards the person who shows up regularly and notices small things, and that is most of the job. By the end of a visit the beds are turned, the grass is even, and the walk is clear enough to go barefoot. Yards in Ceres, Keyes, Modesto, Hughson and Turlock are all on the round.
