About Sahagun Landscaping

For a few weeks each spring the hills around Catheys Valley turn an almost unreal green, and wildflowers spill between the oaks along Highway 140. Sahagun Landscaping works through that short, generous season, mowing, shaping and planting while foothill soil is still soft from winter rain. Cars hum past toward Yosemite, but in the yards the pace is patient: a lawn cut even, a shrub border trimmed back, a new bed laid out to catch the afternoon sun. Here a home sits right up against open grazing land, so a clean edge is the line between household and hillside. Drawing that line well is the craft of it, so the house keeps its own fresh color while the slopes beyond begin their slow turn to gold.
