About Norberto's Gardening

In Cathedral City Cove, the air slides down off the Santa Rosa Mountains before sunrise, cool enough to work in and gone by nine. Norberto's Gardening starts there, mowing and edging while the shade still lies long across the decomposed granite. Hedges get shaped, the trimmer takes the corners a mower can't reach, and the clippings are gone before the first door opens. By the time the sun clears the ridge, a yard that looked shaggy the night before reads as tended. That is the pleasure of the job — a line along the driveway straight enough to follow with your eye.
