About Grant Cox Enterprises Inc.

Seven in the morning on Via Real: the Surfliner slides by on the seaward side and the mowers are already running on the other. Grant Cox Enterprises Inc. handles lawn care along this corridor and the streets that feed it — cutting turf, edging walks and parking islands, trimming shrubs back off the signage, and clearing leaves and debris before the day's traffic arrives. Grounds that face a road are read at forty miles an hour, so the line has to be straight and the pavement has to be clear. There is not much room in this town between the freeway and the foothills, which means every strip of green counts for something. Finished by mid-morning and gone before anyone noticed the crew was there — that is the aim.
