About Francisco Gardening

Franklin Creek runs quiet behind the neighborhoods, and on early mornings the grass on either side of it holds dew until the sun clears the Santa Ynez ridge. Francisco Gardening starts the day in that cool hour — mower first, then the string trimmer along fences and tree rings, then the blower to send the stray clippings back into the beds where they belong. Carpinteria lawns push through a mild winter and slow down in the dry heat, so the cutting follows the growth rather than the calendar. Hedges get shaped, weeds get pulled before they can seed, and the green waste leaves with the truck. By the time the mockingbirds have the block to themselves again, the yard is trimmed, cleared and quiet.
