About Granger X

Once the summer crowds thin along North Lake Boulevard, Carnelian Bay settles into its shoulder season, the light thin and golden and the evenings arriving early with a bite of cold off the water. Granger X handles lawn care as the year turns, cutting grass a final time, clearing the drifts of pine needles and cones, and leaving yards clean before the first storm. Up here, a lawn put to bed well comes back cleaner when the snowpack finally lets go. By dusk the raked ground lies still, and the stars come out sharp above the ridgeline. It makes a satisfying close to the mountain year.
