About Carnelian caretaking

Carnelian Bay takes its name from the reddish stones that once glinted along its shoreline, and in late spring, as the last snowbanks shrink in the shade, the north shore of Lake Tahoe looks freshly polished. Carnelian caretaking looks after homes and grounds here, keeping an eye on properties through the months their owners are away and readying yards for the season of open windows. Winter debris is raked out, needles are swept from decks and paths, and lawns are coaxed back as the soil warms. When the owners pull in and see the lake through orderly trees, the place feels as if it has been waiting for them. That is caretaking in its truest sense.
