About Robert Shuler Design

Late afternoon is Carmel's golden hour, when Ocean Avenue tips downhill toward the water and every garden along the way catches the low light. Robert Shuler Design treats a lawn as part of that composition — the plane of green that lets the cottage, the stonework, and the flowerbeds read clearly. Mowing, exacting edge work, hedge shaping, and seasonal cleanup are done with an eye for the whole picture, not just the grass. Proportion matters as much as neatness. When the light comes down the hill at five o'clock, the yard should be ready for it.
