"Ernest" Tree Service and Lawn Care

About "Ernest" Tree Service and Lawn Care

The north edge of Carlsbad wakes over Buena Vista Lagoon, where the water lies flat as pressed glass and the egrets stand around like they are waiting on someone. "Ernest" Tree Service and Lawn Care starts its days in that hour, mowers off the trailer while the air is still cool and carrying the ocean inland. A lawn cut in even bands, a hedge squared to its line, a limb taken off so cleanly the tree looks like it simply chose to let more sky through — that is the work. Then the clippings go, the walk is blown down to bare concrete, and the yard is handed back tidier than it was found. Week after week, on the same streets, it adds up to a neighborhood that looks cared for.
