About Brookside Landscape Design

Late light over Batiquitos Lagoon does something particular: the boardwalk goes gold, the reeds throw long stripes, and the whole south end of Carlsbad looks composed on purpose. Brookside Landscape Design works toward that feeling in a yard — planting laid out with an eye for how it will read at six in the evening, beds given proportion, lawn shaped into a form rather than whatever is left over. Then the plan gets planted and kept: mowing, edging, trimming, seasonal cleanups so the design does not blur at the margins. A garden is one of the few things you draw and then have to keep drawing. Designed, installed, and looked after, on the streets around the lagoon and beyond.
