Pacific Tree Care

About Pacific Tree Care

Calistoga wakes under fog with Mount St. Helena standing over the north end of the valley, and by midmorning the light is clean enough to count the fronds on the palms along Lincoln Avenue. Pacific Tree Care works the town and the hills behind it — removals where a fir or an old oak has become a problem above a roofline, trimming that draws limbs back off a porch and a driveway, pruning in the dormant months when the vineyards are bare rows and everything is quiet. Oaks and madrones on these slopes carry a lot of weight, and taking the right piece off at the right time is what keeps them standing. Winter storms come down the valley hard, and storm damage cleanup means a road clear, a fence line freed and the wood gone. Good tree work should be nearly invisible, and that is the aim on every property here.
