About ENJ Construction and Landscaping

Brooktrails is a town threaded through a redwood forest, its houses tucked into clearings off winding roads above Willits, and every lawn here is a negotiation with the trees. ENJ Construction and Landscaping keeps those clearings open — mowing the shade-patient grass, trimming back the ferny edges, tidying what the big trees drop. Summer mornings the fog hangs in the crowns until ten, and the crew often works under it, cutting damp grass that smells of duff and bark. A finished yard in this forest has a particular glow, a room of green with redwood walls. Making that room, and keeping it, is the work.
