About Taurino landscaping

At midday in August the flats along San Pablo Avenue go bright and still, and the only shade is whatever the street trees have managed to throw. Taurino landscaping keeps working straight through it — mowing, edging along the concrete, trimming hedges back to shape, and pulling the clippings out before the heat gets into the pile. Dry-season lawns want a steady hand more than a heavy one, and the difference shows in how a yard holds its color into September. There is pride in a place that still looks tended in the hardest month of the year. From Berkeley into Albany and Emeryville the blocks run tight together, and one well-kept lawn lifts the whole row.
