About Ladybug Gardens

Some mornings in South Berkeley the dew lies so heavy on a front lawn that the first mower pass leaves a dark track behind it, like drawing on glass. Ladybug Gardens works those modest yards on the streets off Adeline — the kind with a low fence, a rose or two, and a square of grass a family actually uses. The routine is simple and thorough: cut, edge, trim around the posts and the mailbox, weed the border, clear the clippings. Small lawns forgive nothing, so the passes have to be straight and the edges have to be true. Done right, a little yard like that lifts the entire front of the house.
