Gardella Gardening

About Gardella Gardening

Autumn shows up on Solano Avenue as a slow leaf fall — the street trees letting go a handful at a time from October right through the New Year, filling gutters and lawns block by block. Gardella Gardening stays ahead of it on the streets running uphill off Solano, clearing the drop, cutting grass that is still growing in the cool, and tidying beds before the rains set in for good. The work has a pleasant repetition to it: rake, mow, edge, blow the walk, move along. Late in the season each yard gets its heavy cleanup, so the winter green comes in on open ground. Then the first real storm rolls through, and everything is ready to meet it.
