About Alfredo Ortiz Landscaping

By June the orchards up in Cherry Valley hang red, and the north end of Beaumont smells faintly of fruit and warm dust. Alfredo Ortiz Landscaping works the yards below those hills, often in the hour when the sun slides behind the Badlands and the heat finally lets go of the driveway. Mowing, hedge and shrub shaping, bed weeding, and carrying off everything the day cut loose — it is unhurried work, done in order. A hedge squared off true will hold that line for weeks, and the person who lives there sees it every single time they pull in. Beaumont, Cherry Valley and Calimesa sit close enough together that one good evening can take in all three.
