About Zef's Landscaping

January mornings in this valley belong to the tule fog; it lifts off the flats toward Buttonwillow and settles over Bakersfield until midday, turning every fence line soft and gray. Lawns keep growing slowly underneath it, and the cleanups still need doing. Zef's Landscaping runs a winter round of mowing, edging, trimming and hauling off the season's debris, then picks up pace as the fog finally clears for good in February. Weed control and feeding get the turf ready for the long warm stretch ahead. There is something plain and good about a yard cut clean on a gray morning, waiting for the light to come back.
