Stay Green Inc.

About Stay Green Inc.

August in the southern San Joaquin does not pretend, and a green lawn here is a matter of attention rather than luck. Stay Green Inc. mows on a rhythm that answers the heat: blades set high so the turf shades its own roots, trimming tight along the fence lines, feeding and treating weeds so the grass has something to fight with. Along the Ming Avenue side of Bakersfield the lawn runs straight up against hot asphalt, and that seam is where the work either shows or doesn't. Cut, edge, clear, come back — the routine is the whole trick. When the evenings finally loosen in October, the lawns are still standing and still green, having gone the long way through the year.
