About Gils gardenlandscape

October is when the Tehachapis come back into focus east of town, the summer haze finally thinning enough to show every fold of the range. Gils gardenlandscape likes that stretch of the calendar in Bakersfield: cooler ground, grass recovering its color, and a good window to get lawns cleaned up and cut back into shape. Mowing on rotation, edges re-drawn along drives and walks, trimming where the mower cannot go, and the fallen leaves cleared before they smother the turf. By the time the days shorten, the yard is even, bordered and clean. That is the whole ambition, and it is enough.
