About Becerra's Gardening & Landscaping

Roses grow well in this county — they always have, out past Shafter where the fields of them run to the horizon — and plenty of Bakersfield yards keep a bed of their own by the front walk. Becerra's Gardening & Landscaping tends that kind of yard through June, when the canes need shaping, the beds need weeding and the lawn beside them wants cutting every single week. Gardening at this level is attention paid in small increments: a deadheaded bloom, a straightened border, a mower line that doesn't wander. The result is a property that looks tended rather than merely mowed. That difference is the whole trade.
