Santos Services

About Santos Services

In winter the tule fog settles over the San Joaquin Valley and Avenal goes soft at the edges — streetlights haloed, lawns beaded with damp, the Kettleman Hills vanished until noon. Santos Services works straight through it, raking and clearing, mowing when the grass allows, holding yards in shape while the town waits out the gray. The cool months are when a lawn banks its strength here, and steady trimming and cleanup now pay off when the valley heat returns. There is something companionable about yard work in the fog, the sound of a rake carrying down an empty street. Service takes in Avenal and nearby Kettleman City, Stratford, and Huron.
