Jones Z's Yard & Land Magic

About Jones Z's Yard & Land Magic

Dusk in late winter, and a neglected Auburn lot can look like a lost cause — blackberry canes over the fence, grass to the knee, a lawn somewhere underneath it all. Jones Z's Yard & Land Magic is in the business of the reversal: overgrowth cut down, weeds and tall grass cleared, lawns brought back onto a regular mow, edges cut in, and the whole mess hauled off. Down toward the Western States Trail and No Hands Bridge, where yards give way to wild ground, the line between kept and unkept is worth defending. The trick, if it's a trick, is simply doing it — cut, clear, haul, then return on a schedule so it never gets away again. What people call magic is usually just the same Saturday, repeated.
