The Sprinkler Geeks

About The Sprinkler Geeks

A Sacramento summer does not negotiate: week after week over a hundred degrees, and every lawn in Arden living or dying by its irrigation. The Sprinkler Geeks embrace the geekery in the name — they are the people who actually enjoy tracing a dead zone back to a chewed wire, digging out a broken riser, or programming a controller so the water lands in the cool of the morning instead of evaporating at noon. Under Arden's big valley oaks, with the American River running close by, a dialed-in system keeps whole neighborhoods green through the furnace months. Sprinkler repair, irrigation tune-ups, valves, timers, drip — the small mechanical details that add up to a living yard. Watching every head pop up and throw its arc true is the best part of the day.
