By November the liquidambars on Anderson's side streets turn all at once and drop the whole show inside of two weeks. Garden Equipped arrives with whatever the season actually calls for — mowers and edgers through the green months, rakes, blowers and a trailer through the falling ones. The work is mowing, edging, string trimming, hedge and shrub trimming, bed weeding, leaf and debris removal, and the seasonal cleanups that reset a yard back to zero. Shasta County asks a lot of a landscape: a hundred-degree stretch in July, standing water in February, and a lawn expected to look the same in both.
