About Acacia Tree Services, LLC

The Sacramento River runs cool and green past Anderson while July does its worst on everything above the bank. Acacia Tree Services, LLC starts early on those days — valley oaks pruned before the heat sets in, dead limbs taken out of the big shade trees on the river park streets, whole trees removed once drought and borers have finished them. Shade is not decoration in this town; it is the difference between a house you can sit in at four in the afternoon and one you cannot. So the trimming is done with an eye on the canopy that is left: high, open, sound. And when a valley storm tears through and drops a cottonwood across a fence, the saws go back out and the whole thing goes away.
