About American Canyon Landscape

Walk the trails of the Newell Open Space Preserve in late afternoon and you can look down on the whole town — rooftops, school fields, and hundreds of small green yards catching the low light. American Canyon Landscape works among those yards, carrying the town's own name on the truck door. The rounds are the familiar ones done with care: mowing on a steady schedule, crisp edging along drives and sidewalks, shrubs shaped, beds weeded, leaves hauled off when the street trees drop in December. Down here at the southern gate of the Napa Valley, a lawn is a family's front room in the open air. The aim is simple — that when the evening light rakes across the grass, it finds nothing out of place.
